There are fierce rivalries and a competitive national league. Soccer fans in Colombia can get rowdy, however, and you should be careful if you attend a match.

There are many sports that Colombians like to play, but the favorite by far is soccer. Colombians are obsessed with soccer and a lot of soccer players come from Colombia. They also like basketball, but soccer is the one that is mostly celebrated and played by citizens of Colombia. It is their favorite.
