Gifts should always be returned, promptly and with as little fuss as possible. Enclose a note simply explaining that the wedding did not take place. Technically the bride's side should take responsibility, as traditionally the gifts go to her family home.

Wedding gifts should be returned if the wedding is canceled, or at least an effort should be made to return the gifts. It is suggested that the purposed group return them to his guest while the bride returns hers to the guest she invited to the wedding. An effort should be made by both.

The gift should be returned promptly with a short note explaining that the wedding did not go ahead but their kindness was appreciated. Technically, in the "old fashioned way", as the bride receives the gifts to her family home, she or her parents should deal with the returns.

If the wedding has been canceled the gifts should be returned to the giver as soon as possible. It is then up to the gift giver if they want to tell the recipient to keep it.

If the wedding has been cancelled then the gifts must be returned. The gifts were given in celebration of an event.

Weddings called off by both the groom and the bride. Both are responsible for making sure that if everyone is aware in writting that the wedding has been called off. All gifts will be returned promptly. We apologize for this. Thank you for your understanding.
