What is the effect of children when they grow up without mothers?

Sometimes the situation cannot be avoided. The effect of children without mothers or a mother figure can be bad. They may not show a lot of love or affection. If the child is a female they feel like they are lost and they cannot relate to their father.

In my experience with children girls who are raised without mothers can have be provocative and not have a very stable sense of self. Boys who raised without a mother tend to have a hard time with relationships and knowing what type of person they match with.

A mother is an integral part of a human being's life. They nurture that child and teach them the ways of life. When a person has grown up without a mother, they a have not received the full attention and nurturing that a mother can give.

Every child should have a female figure in their life from day one. Sometimes this is impossible. There are many people who turn out alright without a mother influence in their younger lives. Probably if the mother isn't around, a grandmother or aunt or stepmother will be there. Some kids grow up not knowing any better than a mother substitute.

My mom died suddenly when I was 9. My father did a great job with my sister and me, yet my romantic relationships have been a mess. I have no idea what a healthy relationship with a woman should be like. I am divorced, 45 and very lonely.

I was giving away by my bio mother to a woman married to a pedophile..she was cold unless she needed to look like a hero..I trust no one and the abandonment issues are profound.
