There really isn't an "easiest state", they've all toughed up requirements to avoid liability. The easiest WAY is to seek out small town departments that are willing to let you learn on the job, or conversely, large departments that will help pay for your training. The easiest way is to be former military or prior emergency care such as EMT/firefighter.
That is what keeps most people from being the "Most qualified" candidate. If you have two people with exactly the same education and/or military and one has smoked pot and has undetected DUI... Who do you think they will want. It is too much liability to have a 100%honest officer. add a comment
