Drying time can vary. Most people say 24 to 48 hours total. The longer the better though because uncured thinset can stain the grout from below.

Thinset drying time depends on the type of drier (cement or glue ) you are using.. You hsve to wait for some time.. Darker areas in floor absorbs the water(curing material) quickly.. If you had used the cement thinset then the flooring will go back to the same colour as it has..
