Zen is a school of Buddhism - it's a specific type of Buddhism. Zen focuses on the experience rather than the theory. Practicing Zen means living Buddhism - meditating and practicing awareness and mindfulness during everyday activities. The books of Thich Nhat Hanh are a good place to start for advice on how to practice Zen.

Zen Buddhism is an atheist version of Buddhism. Strongly influenced by Taoism, Zen Buddhists practice meditation but not for the purpose of enlightenment (Nirvana), as in regular Buddhism.
