The difference between convection oven cooking and microwave cooking is that the convection oven has a fan and cooks evenly and a microwave doesn't. A microwave doesn't cook food evenly an is mostly used to warm foods up. A covection oven is used solely for cooking and bakes evenly and guickly.

The difference is in the way that they heat the foods. Microwave ovens heat the food by heating water within the food. Convection ovens move heated air around the entire oven (much like a standard oven in your kitchen). A microwave oven will not brown foods, and a convection oven will not be instantly hot like a microwave.

Microwave ovens cook through the use of microwave radiation. A convection oven works like a regular oven, but has a fan to circulate the warm air.
