There is no difference between a shrub and a bush. Both words are correct depending on where you are from. Some consider a shrub a woody stemmed plant grown in gardens and bushes grown in the wild.

Bush comes to us from the English short wooded like a thicket. The word shrub comes from Old English meaning a brushwood. Bush and shrub are a horticultural name to describe a small stemmed woody plant with mature growth.
