In the lumbar areas of the spine, these discs can herniate. It can cause pain and numbness down the legs depending on where the discs herniated.

Lumbar Dysfunction Syndrome is a lower back problem where a segment of the lumbar spine doesn't move correctly and will send pain into the lower back, buttocks and legs.
