In Islam, Heaven is a joyous place that emphasizes sensual pleasures (both sexual and sensory). There are wide variations in interpretation of the 72 virgins passage. Most Muslims take it to mean nothing more than Heaven is full of wonderful, endless pleasure. Fundamentalist Muslims, on the other hand, take the Koran literally and believe 72 virgins are theirs upon arrival.

Most likely a bad translation from Arabic to English and refers to what would make men happy in the next life, but most likely not a true doctrine except to those who subscribe to violence to change certain circumstances. Paradise is best explained as complete happiness with God. Both men and women after leading a good, moral life are rewarded.
