Where can you buy Mexican bird of Paradise plants?

I would like to plant some Mexican bird of Paradise in my back yard landscaping and can not find them anywhere.

This is the Caesalpinia pulcherrima, and a very common, beautiful plant. You can have your local garden center order it, or there are many sites online from which you may order it. She likes full sun and grows very quickly. Be aware that the seeds and pods are poisonous, so it is a "heads up" if you have children.

The Mexican bird of Paradise plant, not to be confused with the tropical plant associated with but not originally native to Hawaii, is a variety of blooming cactus shrub. It grows best in direct sunlight with little water. It can be purchased in most outdoor and garden centers. It is essily obtained in Mexico.

Try contacting your local nursery to see if they can order some plants for you if they don't carry them in stock. There are many dealers online that sell these types of plants as well.

The Mexican bird of Paradise likes to grow where space is limited. It is a good patio plant. Try Amazon. com to purchase seeds. Most of these plants are started with seeds. Check your internet listings.
