The value of silver is always varying, but currently the value stands at $41.78, which is up 1.55%. In November 2009, it stood at $18.29, so the value has increased significantly since.

As of today, Friday April 8th 2011, at 4:15pm (Central Time), the exchange-traded price of silver at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange was $40.93 per ounce. This is used as a reference price for dealing in silver bullion and silver coins.

Silver is currently $37.30 per ounce. Always make sure to shop different places before selling. The buyer will have to make a profit, so they won't pay the full value.
