The war never enters your mind until it enters your family's life. My nephew was killed in Afghanistan, October, 2009 leaving a 5 year old daughter and wife. His parents, my sister and brother-in-law and his sister will never be the same.

I assume you are aware that the United States is participating in a war in Iraq. There's one between Israel and Lebanon. There's a civil war in Palestine.

The war on terrorism is still being fought and American soldiers are still employed in the middle east. Tension in Iraq is mounting due to the impending referendum, according to CNN.
