In order to be sensitive, use the title "Ms. " before the person's name. Then, just use the woman's first name. For example, write "Ms. Sarah Buskhart. " Nowadays, it is politically correct to write a woman's name rather than using the man's name, anyways.

You simply use "Ms. " prior to their first and last name. If the widow never went by her married name, then feel free to use her maiden name after the "Ms. " title. she is no longer a "Miss" despite the fact that she is single.
