What is the best way to remove or disable the gps in my cell phone?

While you cannot physically remove the GPS you can adjust it through your privacy settings most of which have an option to set the GPS to off. If this doesn't work then contact your phone carrier and they will be able to provide you with answers.

If you just want to carry your cell phone and not have your location identified, remove the battery. Your phone is designed so that if you dial 911 they can locate you, there's no way to remove that functionality while having your phone remain useful.

Well to disable the GPS system in your cell phone go into the application that has the GPS settings. Then you want to press disable. The option should be there in some variation.

The phone will always be able to be traced while it is fuctioning. The best way to disable tracking of any kind is to remove the battery.

You will need to consult your owners manual.On my cell phone under the settings and tools options you choose phone settings and then choose location.Then it still operates when you call 911.I do not know if it can be removed from your phone.

Go to the settings, find GPS, if it's not labeled, you may have to search through a few menus. When found, it's as easy as setting it to off.

You could call your company and tell them you want it turned off. Chances are you're paying for it. Also, you may have to look around, but there should be a "turn off" option.
