What is the best way to remove mildew stains?

Mildew stains are hard to remove. However one option I have used before is taking the cushions and soaking them in a bath with bleach (for bleach safe items), a little laundry detergent, and a little dish soap. Let them soak in the for about 30 minutes. Afterwards, if there are spots rub them out and let them dry.

Material can be scrubbed with bleach and water. Also, a power washer can be used to clean off the cushions. When using cleaners, be sure to wear safety glasses and gloves.

Use a sponge and wash with a soapy solution, this will kill the mold and mildew. Saturate any stains with lemon juice and dry in the sun.

I would just go out and buy new cushions. Once mildew has set in it is usually there for good. You could try washing them with detergent, but there is no grantee it would work. Mildew is almost impossible to remove. It really depends on how much and how deep it is in the cushions.
