All you need to do is just put something up where the sun is shining on them and it will shade them from the sun for you.

Just take an old sheet or table cloth and drape it over the bushes when the midday heat is at its peak and whne it cools off remove it.

Rose bushes are very hardy. Keep them watered and fertilized, but do this when the sun goes down. Watering in full sun will dry them out.

this is some of the ways to protect roses on a hot day. i would just plant some bushes around the plants on one side to cut down on sun and this would also still make your yard look good without using covers like a tarp to make shad for the plants
