What is the best way to go about changing colors in knitting?

Well the best way is to make sure right before a loop of thread is ending you want to insert the different color thread onto your tools. Also the easiest way is to just buy multicolored yarn which always helps.

I have found it is a pain to change colors, so I have always used a multicolored thread when knitting

the best way to go about changing colors in knitting is using dyed yarns of different types, dyed cotton yarn, melange yarn and polyester yarn. this is the only way to change the colour in knitting.while knitting different types of colour yarn in knitting designs that appear elegant and smart.

When you get your second color knot the wool then knit two stitches together then knit dropping the old color. When you have knitted three rows of the new color get the wool where the knot is and sew it into the back of the garment so as to leave a neat finish.

The best way to change colors would really depend on the pattern you are working on. The pattern should indicate when and how to change colors. If you are free knitting (no pattern), then the method you use is totally up to you!
