What is the best vacuum for hardwood floors that were recently refinished?

Swiffer makes the vacuum that has soft cloth-like pads that you can use to pick up the dust. They work very well. Otherwise, I would use just a dust mop with microfiber pads that pick up the dirt, and are very soft and non-scratchy. They make them where the pad can be removed and washed in the laundry.

Since hardwood floors are in, most of the new vacumns have a very low setting that will clean the wood floor. Hoover works best for me.

The hoover bagless upright works wonders not only because it was designed for hardwood floors but it is a bagless vacuum, so no more spilling or ripping the vacuum bags anymore.

The best type of vaccuum for hardwood floors is the type with either a felt or bristle suction head. Avoid hard plastic or metal heads and don't use a beaterbar.

You want a vacuum that has a nice padded bottom around the nozzle end, something with cloth pads or even sponge foam. I know a lot of restaurants with hardwood floors use Swifter models of vacuums. Even a shockvac that uses foam and water is good on hardwood flooring and leaves next to no scratches.
