Mayo works wonders, but if you're not willing to put mayo on your hair apply conditioner to your wet hair, put a plastic baggie over your wet, pinned up hair and apply heat to the outside bag with a hairdryer for as long as you wish ,usually 10-20 mins. It's basically what they do in salons when they condition hair.

Best is to avoid overprocessing by hair dryers or treatment like coloring. Find a good conditioner, perhaps a leave-in, and a clarifying or gentle shampoo. Sun and chlorine can be terribly drying. Cutting your hair short and starting fresh can work wonders, AND make you feel like a new person! Mud or hot oil treatments can be very beneficial.

There is many dry hair treatments on the market these days. You will have to find one through trial and error. An oil treatment such as VO5 used to be great. The old timers used to put mayonnaise on their hair after washing and after so many minutes they would rinse it out. This was supposed to put oil back.

Try washing your hair with moister rich shampoos and conditioners. Add a leave in hydrating balm to your shower routine, and leave it in for at least 5 minutes. Also get a good hair serum to put in after your shower.
