Basically you should likely avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofens, diclofenac etc because the combination or an NSAID and ACE inhibitor (lisinopril) can cause renal failure. See your doctor to see what is best for you but likely it will be tylenol or one of the opiate group medications. I need to emphasize the termendous potential complications of lisinopril and NSAIDs.

Since lisinopril is a medication to lower blood pressure, pain relievers containing anti-inflammatory effects should be not be taken including ibuprofen. A safe pain reliever is Tylenol.

Tylenol and opiates don't have interactions with lisinpril where as NSAIDS like ibuprofen and others have effects at the kidney level and should be avoided.

You want to avoid any kind of NSAID, such as ibuprofin and naproxen. Those may cause your blood pressure to go up. The safest thing to take is an acetaminophen like Tylenol. Even then you should take them in small doses. Taking some prescription narcotics in low doses is also safe.

If you absolutely have to take something, take acetaminophen (Tylenol) in small doses. Avoid Naproxen (Aleve) and Ibuprofen (Advil), as they tend to raise blood pressure, thus counteracting the effects of the lisinopril.

It is ok to take Advil while on lisinopril.Advil helps to lower high blood pressure also, but of course you should always ask your doctor what is ok to take first.

Lisinopril is used for high blood pressure so thats what you need to watch out for. Anything that may raise your blood pressure is a definate no. Asprin or Ibuprophen are good to use. Tylenol is usually a bad idea. For prescription pain reliever it is best to talk to your doctor.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (or NSAIDs) have effects on filtering of blood through the kidney, which is also affected by lisinopril. Concurrent use of these two medications may precipitate kidney failure in otherwise healthy people. Analgesics such as tylenol or narcotics, taken in moderation, are safer.

The best pain relievers are advil or tylenol. Basically any form will do but do not exceed the recommended dosage given on the back of the label. Also, natural ways to relieve pain include acupuncture or yoga therapy. Also massaging the given muscles will results in fast and effective relief.

Lisinopril is used to control high blood pressure. It is important not to take anything that could raise your blood pressure. The best thing to take is Tylenol if you mean other the counter pain medicines. For prescription pain medicine, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist. Most likely the doctor won't give you anything that is bad.

Do not count on the docs recommendation. Two docs treted a knee replacement with Naproxen and Cleobrex...both ar not to be use conjointly with Lisinopril. Check it yourself prior to ingesting any new medication!!!!!

Tylenol is too weak to work on serious arthritis pain. Narcotics are addicting. Take a real arthritis pill and tell your Dr. to check your BP and blood every three months. If your kidneys start to show stress you can stop the anti-inflammatory in plenty of time.
