A wash and wax is very good and does not leave smears. When washing the car do not rinse all the first wash off thoroughly, leaving the wax on. Let the car dry, leaving it slightly wet get a dry cloth and buffer the car body work all round. Whilst waiting for the car to dry clean the windscreen.

I own a black 1993 Mercedes Benz and by far, I prefer to use Armor All Ultimate Shine & Wax. It is very easy to use, as most products are, but I notice I do not have to wash the vehicle as often. I also believe it has helped to slow the oxidation process. It usually less than $8.

Any product that contains Carnauba Wax is the best choice for every car, especially black ones. Most reputable brands of car wax (i.e. Turtle Wax) will sell a product that lists carnauba wax as the primary ingredient. As long as the product you choose contains carnauba, it doesn't matter if it is name or generic brand.

NXT Generation Tech Wax made by Meguiar's. The wax claims to create a "wet" look and when dealing with a black car, the primary objective is to make the car look wet. Meguiars has been around since 1901 and is trusted among individuals at car shows around the United States. The Product costs 17.99.
