Pennyroyal has to be placed in open big areas where it can spread freely and receive a good amount of sunlight. The Pennyroyal seeds should not be planted deep.

Pennyroyal is best placed where it can grow freely, as it likes to take over its area and spread. When planting seeds, do not plant deep. A hardy plant, it can stand drought but does well if watered every couple of days. Pennyroyal likes full sun, with light shade at the most.

Pennyroyal is an aggressive species that will take over your garden unless fenced in underground, and it will grow well just about anywhere. If planting in pots or indoors, choose a pot 8" or larger. Pennyroyal really flourishes in deep, sandy soil that is kept moist. It prefers lots of sunshine, but will do well in partial shade.
