You're not going to want to eat anything that can cause gas--especially green vegetables. You should also eat soy to help combat hot flashes.

Great to think about this before surgery! Focus on whole foods, rather than prepared foods to avoid excess salt and fat while you're less active. Foods high in fiber, especially fruits and whole grains, help you avoid constipation after you come home. Lean protein (meat, beans, tofu) help rebuild tissue. Consider Ensure or supplement if you lose your appetite.

Well if you want a good diet you should be eating fruits and vegetables. Optimal fruits is the best thing you can do for yourself. Have a lot of different types of vegetables that are both green and yellow. Anything with a lot of antioxidants is going to help you recover.

You'll mainly want to focus on eating a lot of healthy food that provides a variety of nutrients. Your body is going to be working hard to heal itself from the surgery, and you want to make sure it has all the tools it needs to do so.
