A starting teacher's salary varries widely between states and districts. At the high end, without a masters around 40k. Private schools pay less than public schools and if you have a Masters degree you will earn more.

This varies widely between states and even neighboring cities. The national average variates depending on what grade is taught and how much experience the teacher had. On average beginning teachers can expect to make between $25,000 and $35,000 per year. This could be lower if the teacher is in a poorer school district.

The salary depends on the school district, public or private, years of experience, level of education and location in the U. S. Salaries are generally $30-90K. In addition to salary, consider the extensive benefit packages offered by most school systems.

I think that here in Spain it must be like 28000 euros a year and they have like two months of holidays.. that's a great deal! I think that college teachers earn a little bit more..
