Currently, the national median salary for a receptionist is approximately $29,000. However, this will vary significantly from state to state, and even areas within a state. Factors that will affect this are cost of living and also the type of company that is providing the position. The average salary for the recipionist is about 30 grand a year. They usually make about 10-12 dollars an hour and it all depends on how big the corporation is for the one that you've worked for and all. So if you work for a big company you can make more money.

$29,050 was the average salary for a secretary in 2008. There is slightly more income to be earned in the local government and less in employment services. Executive secretaries and administrative assistants earn about $40,000 annually. Those working in private companies earn $10,000 more than those in employment services.

There is no average receptionist salary, as it really depends where (country) and how big (size) and reputed the hotel you work for is. Hilton and Ritz will offer a lot more than Ibis or Premier Inn. So you can expect anything from € 1000 onwards.
