with dual core processors becoming the standard now, if you treat it right, the laptop can last 6+ years. maybe even longer. the power packed into laptops these days is more than enough for the standard user, for years and years to come.

The average lifespan of a laptop is between 3 and 5 years. It depends on what you use it for and how you use it. Laptops that are treated roughly can expect a shorter lifespan. On average a Macintosh based laptop tends to last longer.

It really depends on usage, but you can normally expect to have it for several years if taken care of properly. However batteries and AC adapters are a different story.

From a physical perspective, it depends heavily on how well you treat it - a well cared for laptop can easily last five years. From a performance standpoint it depends on what types of applications you are looking to use - todays, or the very latest in the future?

It depends on what brand of laptop you have. I have 2 Asus Laptops and they have 2 years of use. You should have no problem if you have warranty.

The hardware in the laptop will be up to date for about two years and it can be expanded up to four years. The lifespan of a system depends up on how we make use. We must not let the laptop to get more heat not only that more advanced and powerful hardware produces more heat which causes more damage.
