Japanese archaeologists claim to have deciphered the hieroglyphics for the beer recipe, which is about 4500 years old. While articles online detail how barley and no hops is used, how the beer is tea-colored and 10% alcohol, the actually recipe is not published.

they used unbaked bread dough and added water for a short period of time. when it began to ferment an inebriating pulp resulted and then they mashed it and added dates to taste and again filtered it and collected into a vessel for drinking. they also wrote a poem called "Hymn to Ninkasi",the goddess of brewing. and explained how to make beer.

No one really knows the exact recipe, but essentially all Egyptians drank beer. The red comes from Egyptian mythology in a story where they used red ochre to dye the brew in order to calm a goddess. The beer of old times is said to be without fiz, thick, and have a strong odor. Approximately 5 to 6 percent alcohol.

Barley and a type of wheat known as emmer is used to make malt instead of hops. Then add yeast and uncooked malt then let it ferment.
