Electric clocks are great and much easier to use, but, if the electricity is to go off your clock will no longer work. If you have a wind up clock, which probable works off of batteries it will always work even when the power goes off. You also save a little on your electric bill.

With a wind up clock you know that if everything else in the world failed and you had no other battery source, your wind up clock would always work.

A wind up clock may sound old-fasioned, especially with all of the technological advances of today, it can still come in handy. Wind up clocks work great for travel, so you don't have to rely on electricity in order for them to work. They're also great backups in case your electric alarm doesn't go off.

It seems that nowadays, an electric clock is getting more complicated, as for the wind up clock, you just adjust the hands to the time, no guessing!

The best advantage of a wind-up is simple, no batteries need, ever! If you remember to wind it up regularly, you'll have a great clock. I have one and I love it!

Electric clocks are what most people use since they have big displays and dual alarms and all the other bells and whistles, but the old wind up clock still works even when there is a power outage so you still know the time. I think everyone should have a wind up clock for backup.
