The only advantage of 115V versus 230V is that it runs appliances rated for 115V. All other distinctions are academic.

230V is half the amperage of 115V. That results in allowing you to use smaller guage wire to hook up a circuit.

I am guessing you are thinking 110 vs 220. Actually I see no advantage to 110 or 220. 220 is actually is better for running equipment.
