Depending on the skill of the technician sonograms are very rarely wrong. But your reading can only be as accurate as the person doing the sonogram and person reading them.
Most of the time sonograms are pretty accurate in telling somethings about the baby. Now that their is 4d ultrasounds then they can tell you more about your baby and what it looks like.
Sonograms are only seventy to eighty percent accurate. They may be wrong about the gender or other attributes of the baby. Talk to your obstetrician if you have concerns about the results of your sonogram.
