If it is a gurgling noise it could indicate that your drain line has inadequate ventilation. This could mean the vent is plugged or that it is undersized. If it is a banging noise, it would indicate water hammer is occurring when the flow of refill water is stopped after the tank refills.

If it is a gurgling noise it means that your drain line is starting to get blocked up. It might save you a headache to have a plumber come check it out before things get ugly.
