Sunless tanning involves using chemicals to simulate a suntan on the body. It doesn't refer to tanning beds as they still use UV lights (the same light that causes the tanning). They are mostly lotions or sprays that contain dihydroxyacetone as the primary ingredient. It might also refer to temporary bronzers which are gels that give a temporary coloration.
