If the child is older, well past potty training age, the issue might be serious. It's probably time to have a sit down with your child.

try taking your child to the toilet or potty chair around the time the child usually poops. by doing this and rewarding will help train them faster.

First, ask them about the sensations they feel; they may not realize the need to poop until doing so. Also take them to the potty more often.

One thing you can do is go to the doctor to see if there is something wrong. If there is nothing wrong try buying them really cool underwear so they are upset when you have to throw them out when they poop in them.

Helping a child who poops his pants requires some attention from the parent to help the child deal with this problem. The best thing to do is to remind the child often about using the restroom. They get busy and wait to long before going to the restroom and at some point it's too late.
