What is proper bread storage?

Are you supposed to get a bread box? My bread always goes stale, or gets moldy.

A breadbox is good storage as long as it is not kept near warm surfaces, such as an oven or microwave. Freezing bread also extends bread life; you can pull out slices as you need them and microwave them for ten to fifteen seconds to bring the slices back to room temperature.

I have found that my bread stores best in the refrigerator. I have tried keeping it outside of the refrigerator, but have found that it turns stale or grows mold. Keeping it inside the refrigerator provides a favorable environment for storage and allows me to use an entire loaf over the period of a week.
