car repairs

Question by  graycat (174)

What is my Toyota 3.0 engine noise?

Answer by  iantm (127)

More likely than not, it is the belt and tensioners. It's not the easiest job (you will need to jack the car up and remove the right front wheel). As long as you are patient and have the right tools, it's a decent job.

The noise could be low oil pressure, worn piston rings, or even worn or loose valves in the valve train.

I don't find this question very good but i'll answer it anyway. Your Toyota's a 3 litre so I'm assuming its a V6. So it should have a refined/smooth noise.

it could be low of oil. it could be an external part on the engine. it also could be an internal part.
