Liquid sulfur is sulfur that has melted and changed from the solid to the liquid state. This occurs when sulfur is heated above its melting point, 115 degrees Celsius. In the liquid state, the sulfur molecules are no longer rigidly bound to each other and can move around freely.

Sulfur melts at around 120 degrees Celcius. Liquid sulfur, however, is the name of a solution used as plant fertilisers. Whilst it does contain molten sulfur, it comes from a highly concentrated solution of ammonium thiosulfate - this means it is liquid at room temperature, so it does not have to be kept in heated storage.
