Measure out the material you are wanting to use to make rags. Cut it to length and width, sew around the edges to ensure as little fraying as possible takes place for the rag to last.

Sewing rags is no different than sewing regular fabric. Make sure all the rags are clean and preshrunk and go to work.

Make sure there are no weak spots in the rags. If they are cut them out and then sew the rags together. Also try crocheting the rags together.

To make rags easiest thing to do is get scrap fabric (old tshirts work well) cut size you want and fold edges and straight stitch to prevent fraying.

Cut the rags in strips. Braid 3 strips together like a hair braid. Start to lay the braid in a circle and sew with nylon thread.
