The parents bring the child forward. The pastor introduces the child by name to the congregation; asks the family if they will raise this child as a child of God; asks the congregation if they will do the same; reaches into a bowl of water and sprinkles some on the forehead of the child while saying a blessing.

The child's parents bring the child to the minister before the congregation. The minister asks if the parents will guide the child and raise him in the beliefs of the church. When the parents and the congregation answer in the affirmative the minister sprinkles the child's head with water, blesses the child and then presents him to the congregation.

You, through a ceremony, dedicate the soul of your infant to the "Church" so that it may act as a guardian, representing the Spiritual God.
