It is a generic error code. It doesn't mean anything in particular; it just means that there was someting wrong in the process. If you try to reload the application it can be clear if it was a minor error or a glitch in the process. If not try again later.

Error 999 is an all inclusive error code when something more specific could not be identified as the issue. It is due to bandwidth limitations. If that is the case, your IP is blocked for anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. Reset your IP or try another browser.
