This is when you work out like at a gym on Saturday and you are not sore until Tuesday. This is known as a delayed onset for your muscles to be sore later rather than right away.

Delayed-onset muscle soreness is also referred to as muscle fever. It is the sore and stiffness that comes a day or two after after heavy exertion or exercise.

Delayed-onset muscle soreness is the pain and the stiffness that is felt in muscles, in about twenty-four to seventy-two hours after a strenuous exercise. It happens because of the injury caused to the muscles due to an unaccustomed strenuous exercise. The pain is not felt when muscles are at rest.
