It is an effective deer repellant because it gives the impression that coyotes (predators) have been in the area recently and may return. Coyote, bobcat, mountain lion and wolf urine are used to keep pests out of the garden. There are no healing powers associated with coyote urine; that is merely an urban myth.

It doesn't have healing powers. Instead, it is used to deter animals, especially deers. Homeowners buy it to spray around their shrubs and plantings that the deer are eating. When the deer smells the coyote urine, they should take off because they are afraid. It actually does work. Anyone who says it has healing power is a snake oil salesman.
