Black Mold disease occurs due to a fungus called Aspergillus niger. Inhalation of large numbers of spores from this fungus can cause lung disease in humans.
It is actually a geenish-black mold and can be very toxic. It is responsible for scores of respiratory illnesses. It thrives in damp places that don't have good ventilation.
