What are some problems associated with brown mold?

Brown mold could be particularly irritating to people who have a mold allergy. I have a mold allergy and I live in an old house so it makes me stuffy in the morning and my skin sometimes feels dry.

The color of the mold does not really matter. Mold can be dangerous in any form or color. It's important to get a sample of the mold tested for you try to remediate. If the mold is simply mildew, a weak bleach and water solution may take care of the problem, otherwise you may need to use more aggressive methods.

Color doesn't matter. All color molds can have harmful and non-harmful traits. To find out, you can get a mold-testing kit but they are expensive. Dangerous molds are classified as Hazard A, which is toxic, and this category contains black, brown, green and white, yellow and grey molds.
