Your hip joints and shoulder joints are the two most famous types of ball socket joints in the body, i believe ankles may be as well. There are a lot of them.

A good example as to where you can find it in the human body, would be the shoulder. A ball socket joint which is also known as spheroidal joint, allows the movement of the shoulder, practically in every direction. Another good example is in the hip, which connects the thigh and hip.
