There is nothing easy about this. But Opera cake is fairly easy. It's a sponge cake with a chilled butter cream glaze frosting. It includes almonds and instant espresso powder.

There really is no easy recipe for this. It requires a lot of ingredients and many steps that must be done in the proper order for it to turn out correctly. There are several recipes to be found on the web for it but I highly suggest the one at Epicurious, labeled Opera Cake instead of torte.
