What can you tell me about the Barefoot Contessa from the Food Network?

You can look up her stuff on foodnetwork. They have hers and a lot of the other food net works stars recipes. Or she might have a cook book you can buy. Most of her recipes are on food net work though. Go there and it can tell you more about her and her recipes.

I am huge fan. She is a classically trained chef but not snobbish. She makes great tasting, classic. basic food and is also a fabulous dessert maker. Check out her book "Back to Basics" for great, easy recipies that will really introduce you to her style.

I love Ina Garten, I frequent the food network site, they have all of her recipes if you search under her name, they will all pop up. Unfortunately though, I have yet to run across anything that is quick and easy. Everything takes a bit of prep work, even the ones that say they don't, but they are worth it!

Barefoot Contessa is really Ina Garten. She was born in Brooklyn, New York February 2, 1948. She is an American author, a a former White House nuclear policy analyst. Ina had no formal training , she is self taught. Her culinary career began with her gourmet food store which was called Barefoot Contessa.
