What is a worm with a shell?

I have seen these in my yard.

If the shell is a segmented chitinous exterior, you're probably looking at a centipede or millipede. If the shell is a lump on it's back, it's a snail. If you're in Florida, it's almost certainly a millipede. Millipedes are slow and only eat plant matter, so they can't hurt you. Snails can't either. Centipedes have venom and sometimes bite, though.

This is called a snail. these are from molluscan class Gastropoda. they can be found mostly in ditches and deserts and depths of sea of which most of these are found in marine.

It's a snail. Only adult snails have shells. Believe it or not, some people - in France, for instance - consider them a delicacy.

The worm with a shell name is snail. it lives either in water and land also but mostly it lives in the water

What you are seeing is not a worm with a shell. It is probably a snail. If you research pictures of snails and narrow down the search by the area in which you live you can determine what type of snails you have in your yard.
