I'm afraid you're making a confusion between two different items. A Trojan horse is a piece of software that infects your computer in ordere to steal information (like logins and passwords) while a virus infects your computer only to harm it (however this is less and less true nowadays). I personally never heard of a Trojan horse generic virus...
