What is a sample of a minute report.

I have to keep track of minutes at my next meeting, and I'm not really sure what to do.

A minute report is just a summary of what is discussed and for how long. It helps people who weren't there or who want to check back, to understand what happened. During the meeting, when a new topic starts, write it down with the time. Add some details about key points. Repeat for new topics. Ask someone for help, too.

When tracking meeting minutes, its important not only to record occurences of the meeting, but to also capture details on any action items. Typically minutes on key topics discussed are recorded in the minutes, especially those answering questions or defining solutions. For action items, the owner of the item to be followed up on and the target date are recorded.

Meeting minutes are a record of what happened. The more thorough the better, but at the very least you should take notes of the topics discussed and the decisions reached at the meeting. Depending on how formal the organization is, you may be required to take very detailed notes that are like a transcript of the meeting.

Minutes are little notes (1 sentence long) that keep track of a meeting. Include Attendance, first item, 2nd item etc... Include any thing set aside for the next meeting.
